Taylor's Senior Session

I always get excited about our Senior Sessions. We get to capture the personality of someone heading into the most important year of their school career.

This is the year they get to decide where they are going to college, planning for a career and starting to come into their own personality and style.

Yesterday's senior rep session was even more special, this Senior is someone who I have known for a long, long time.

Her Mom & I go way back, we are old friends who worked in radio together and I would watch Taylor for her mom from time to time. Taylor even helped me with a portfolio project when I was in photography school. Now she is the subject of one of my shoots.

She has grown up so much in the past few years and I can't believe that she is going to graduate next spring, but that is a different story, that usually ends with the thought "am I really getting old"?

She brought along her friend Ansleigh to help with the shoot. Half way through the shoot Ansleigh told us that Taylor was so nervous on the way over that she didn't like having her picture taken and was afraid that it was "going to suck".

This session proved Taylor to be wrong, she had a great time and her personality really shined. There were even glimpses of the sweet, shy little kid who would roll her eyes at her Mom & myself when we would do something that was just goofy or off the wall when she was little.

I hope you enjoy this little glimpse of some of my favorites. Her gallery will up by next week. I can't wait for her family to see the rest. They really capture her personality!

Sneak Peek at the First 2010 Senior Session

Victoria was a little nervous at first about her senior session. She had only done in-studio shoots and never an on-location professional shoot.

We chose Furman University as our background. It is one of my favorite places to shoot in the Upstate.

Her apprehension went out the window pretty fast, as you can see. She was relaxed and let her true personality shine.

More to come but here is a sneak preview:

As for the Second one--- yes! She was in a rain storm! Fantastic timing!
